When installing solar to my house, could it guarantee independence from the Utility Grid?

For Off-Grid Package, dependence from the grid is guaranteed but may be limited under its coverage.

For Grid-Tied Package, your house is completely dependent from the grid.

When installing solar to my house, would it require rewiring of the house?

For Grid-Tied Packages, rewiring is not required but for

Off-Grid Package, rewiring would be required depending upon the size of the

package. If the Off-Grid Package to be installed is limited to some appliances

only, rewiring could be done.
